One of Singapore’s most coveted feature races
The Kranji Mile was first introduced in 2000 and was upgraded to Group 1 status in 2006. At one point in history, the Kranji Mile replaced the Queen Elizabeth II Cup as the first of three Legs in the Singapore Triple Crown series. In 2018, the Kranji Mile was revamped as an invitational race, attracting horses and jockeys from around the world including Australia and Hong Kong in 2018 and 2019. Since 2020, the race has been opened to only local runners.
The Kranji Mile is a significant event in the horse racing calendar. Over its racing years, it has earned its popularity amongst horse racing enthusiasts for consistently featuring some of the best milers on the competitive field. Better Than Ever, Pacific Prince and Southern Legend were some of the legendary names who have raced and won the Kranji Mile.
