Dating back to 1974, the Group 1 Lion City Cup has long been regarded as Singapore’s domestic premier sprint race, showcasing the ability of the best sprinters.
Singapore’s famous champion sprinter, Rocket Man, won the Lion City Cup a record four times from 2009 to 2012. Lim’s Kosciuszko captured the trophy for two years in a row, in 2022 and 2023.
The Lion City Cup holds a prize purse of $300,000 and will run on turf over 1200m.
