From 3 – 12 June, get a wellness boost with STCRC’s Equine Wellness Programme, exclusively offered as part of the Singapore Tourism Board’s Wellness Festival Singapore.
Built on the concept of equine therapy, the Equine Wellness Programme, held in partnership with experts from Healing Horses, is designed to help improve participants’ overall wellbeing through equine interaction.
What is equine therapy?
The concept of equine therapy dates to ancient times when animals, and in particular horses, have been used for therapeutic horse riding. It remains effective to this day to help individuals who need emotional, physical, and cognitive support through interactions with horses.

Conducted at STCRC, Singapore’s premier equine facility which houses an Olympic class equestrian arena purpose-built for the 2010 Youth Olympic Games’ Equestrian competition, activities covered in the three-hour group-based wellness programme, include:
- Introduction to horses and benefits of equine interaction
- Horse grooming and leading techniques
- Horse riding over a simple obstacle course
