FAMILY “FUN FOR ALL UNDER THE STARS” AT THE SINGAPORE RACECOURSE
On Thursday, 4 December 2014, the Singapore Racecourse in Kranji will once again open its gates to the public for an eventful night of ‘LIVE’ performances, pony rides, engaging games and activities at Singapore Turf Club’s “Fun For All Under The Stars” open house event from 5.00pm to 9.00pm.
The evening promises to be a fun-filled one with performances by the Singapore Lyric Opera Children’s Choir. Kids will meet the Club’s lovable mascots, Racer and Clover, have fun in the inflatable bouncy castle or exercise their creativity in colouring contests. Activities such as balloon sculpting and face painting will delight kids and parents alike; while stalls selling delicious snacks replenish their energy before they continue with the pony rides at the Parade Ring for $20 per ride. Visitors can also join a guided tour of the Club’s world-class race track for $5 per person – a privilege not available to the public on other days.
Having fun and doing good goes hand in hand as the proceeds from the pony rides and turf track tours will be donated to Singapore Turf Club’s adopted charity – Thye Hua Kwan EIPIC Centre @ Woodlands, to help fund a resource library for the beneficiaries. Besides pony rides, children will be swept off their feet when they get up close with the horses at the horse-patting and feeding area, snap some pictures or watch the horses at the trial gallops.
Admission and parking at the Singapore Racecourse is free for that evening.
